Your new bank Founded in 1866 and headquartered in DeWitt, NY, Community Bank, N.A. has a strong branch network throughout New York and northeastern Pennsylvania. Following the Merchants Bank merger, that network will extend into Vermont and Massachusetts and will include more than 225 locations.

Branch hours There will be no change to your normal branch hours. Please see the welcome booklet mailed to you for early closings during the conversion weekend.
Your account numbers Your account number(s) will remain the same, unless you are otherwise notified.
Your checks You can continue to use your existing supply of Merchants Bank checks until you are ready to re-order. If you do not order your checks through our check provider (Deluxe) and order your checks after the merger, you will need to provide your check vendor with our routing and transit number: 021307559
Free online banking Online Banking and Bill Pay services are FREE with all Community Bank, N.A. checking accounts. Please click here for complete details and login instructions after the merger.
Your statements
Please Note
Please see the product sections of the welcome booklet for details on your statements. Merchants Bank will provide a final statement listing all activity through the merger date.

Free eStatements are available through Community Bank, N.A. Online Banking. If you receive statements electronically, you’ll be prompted to re-enroll at your first online banking login. If you are enrolled in Merchants Bank eStatements, you’ll be able to access up to 18 months of past eStatements.
Your debit/ATM card You will receive a new debit/ATM card and personal identification number (PIN) in separate mailings prior to the merger. You can change your PIN when you activate your new card at any Community Bank, N.A. ATM or through telephone banking after the merger.
Direct deposit If your payroll, government or other check is deposited directly into your account, this service should automatically continue without interruption.
Automatic payments
Please Note
All automatic payments currently set up to process should continue without interruption. If you’d like to establish new automatic transfers after the merger, be sure to provide our routing and transit number: 021307559. If you have payments scheduled with your debit card, please be sure to contact the vendor to provide your new debit card number.

If you have automatic payments set up as me-to-me or person-to-person transfers through online banking, they can be re-established after the merger.
Overdraft sweep
Happy News
If you currently have an overdraft sweep that protects your checking account from overdrafts, it will be automatically converted and will continue uninterrupted. Please see the Disclosure Booklet for applicable terms and conditions. Community Bank, N.A. offers overdraft protection lines of credit. Ask us for details.
Free mobile banking
Happy News
Mobile banking and mobile deposit are FREE with every Community Bank, N.A. account. If you currently use Merchants Bank mobile banking, you will need to re-establish it with Community Bank, N.A. Simply enable mobile banking any time after the merger by logging into online banking, then download our mobile app for iPhone® or Android smartphones.

At this time, we do not offer text banking services. However, we do offer text alerts.
Free telephone banking If you currently use telephone banking, you will need to re-establish it with Community Bank, N.A. any time after the merger. Simply call 1-800-991-4280. You’ll be asked to enter the last four digits of your Social Security number and your account number as identification and select a secure PIN.
Personal loans If you receive statements for making your personal loan or fixed-rate mortgage payments, you’ll receive a coupon book prior to the merger for making payments once the merger is complete. If you have an adjustable rate mortgage (ARM), you’ll continue to receive monthly statements. Please click here for additional details.
FDIC insurance Your deposits will continue to be FDIC insured up to the maximum amount allowed by law. If you currently have deposits that have the same ownership title(s) at both Merchants Bank and Community Bank, N.A., your deposits will continue to be insured separately for six months after the merger. After that, those deposit amounts will be combined to determine the amount of your FDIC coverage. Click here for details on FDIC insurance for certificates of deposit (CDs).
Safe deposit box If you have a safe deposit box, your box will remain at its current location.
Wire transfers Incoming and outgoing wire transfers can be initiated by visiting your local Community Bank, N.A. branch.
Merchants Trust Company If you are currently a client of the Merchants Trust Company, these services will continue without interruption.
